The photo is not doctored. I picked it this evening. The fruit was hanging freely, meaning there was nothing to physically cause this. I know I'm going to have to cut it open to see what's in there but it's pretty cool looking!

Yes, many have shown pictures of such shall I say protuberances.

Looks like a beak - maybe a flock with my "sitting duck" potato? (My grandpa always called them "schmoo" potatoes.)
