I grow in swc's so the heavy spring rains didn't affect my plants, but whoa...the recent moderate temp's and low humidity have me seeing more pollination than I've seen since 2007. I'm knocking on wood in hopes this trend will continue. After the last 2 years I had all but given up on a good crop. A toast to 2013. It's about time for a boatload of tom's & peppers. Good luck to us all...& I really feel for you guys going through the early heat wave. We had it last year and understand.

I was just thinking yesterday; when was the last time there was a heatwave and the Midwest wasn't in it? It's been perfect tomato weather here in KC.

I agree. I'm in southern Johnson county and things look great. I have five of my 36 plants with some kind of persistent leaf curl issue, but even those are setting at an alarming rate. I say alarming bc my family has warned me not to grow so many that we fill the counters with tomatoes.
