Suggestions for a red grape tomato variety?

I have been growing Burpee's "Mighty sweet hybrid" for 2 years now and really do like it however I am wondering if there is a open pollinated red grape tomato that I could try growing next year (and saving seeds from)

Yes it has to be red and it has to be a grape tom (and have good flavor).... I grow this plant specifically for my 6.5 year old... who will eat the sungold and anything else I plant but she insists on having her red grape tomatoes.

I am already putting together a order for tomato growers supply so I was looking at what she offers. The sprite tomato looked good and from the GW posts it looks like it was the "free" tomato seeds she offered a few years back.

Anyone grow Sprite recently or a any other good OP red grape tom?

Thanks.

You will find Grape and Plum used interchangeably on several websites. IMO, plum tomatoes should be larger than grapes.

Riesentraube is worth growing for rich intense flavor and reliable production.

Wheatly's Frost Resistant is a pink plum tomato with very heavy production and very good flavor.

Grape - this is the red grape tomato that pretty must sets the baseline.

Sprite - which you mention is a very good grape variety.

I am partial to Sakura Honey though seed are difficult to find. It is in between a plum and a grape. It is also a commercial pink hybrid, not exactly what you asked for. Sugary is another commercial extra sweet red grape tomato.

mmm, not what you ask but Sweet Olive F1 hybrid I am told one of the best grapes in taste. I got the seeds from Johnny's just to try because it is being discontinued here and it is UK seed I think...

best grape taste for a $1 how can I refuse lindalana.. thanks I quickly ended up with a nice little seed order from Johhnys. :)

great info fusion_power thanks... I think I am going to end up either with sugary or sprite... I am tempted by sprite because it would be nice to have a determinate in the mix (I currently have none) but the "very sweet" description of the sugary is tempting.
