Best tomatoes for juice?

I would like to can some tomato juice this year, and I have quite a variety of tomatoes from which to choose: pastes, cherries, slicers, beefsteaks, heirlooms, hybrids, reds, yellows, greens, purples, 17 different varieties in all. In general, which toms would be best? We've had a rather rainy summer, so they all seem pretty juicy.

Any variety works fine for juice. Every time this question comes up over on the Harvest & Canning forum here the usual recommendation is the more varieties you include, the better the juice. More types = more flavor.

Unless you actually like the taste of canned tomato juice, stay away from paste tomatoes. Otherwise, tomato juice should be thin without much pulp and thirst quenching. Also stay away from disgustingly sweet varieties such as Pink Oxheart. Slightly sweet varieties such as Brandy Boy are OK. Slightly overripe tomatoes are preferred.
