The new world record 8.41 pound tomato was grown on a tomato plant less than three feet tall !!!. Another tomato 6.88 pounds was grown on an even smaller plant. How can this be? Is there some scientific explanation for this? It doesn't seem to fit in.

growneat, IMHO, I think people will be confused between THIS thread and THE ONE you posted a few days ago. So, if I may, I suggest that we stick with the old thread: New World Record 8.41 Pound Tomato. JMO.

I brought this up to specifically find out if anyone had any ideas about how a 3 foot vine can grow such a big tomato. Maybe you know? I don't. It is counterintuitive. Help me out here.
