Is ripening quite sensitive to temperature?

We've something we picked up in a clearance sale. It has thumb sized fruit, usually in bunches of four, tends to be a bit pear shaped.

A few weeks ago when temperatures were close to 100F in the afternoon and 60F at night we had red fruit almost every day. Now with temperatures near 90F in the day and 50F at night the plant is just putting out more and more and even more green fruit and none turns red. Does 10 degrees make that much difference?

90F is still pretty hot for ripening.
fruits ripen in the order they started from flowers. It takes roughly 45 to 60 days, depending on the variety and temperatures. 90F is almost perfect temperature.
