spotted and cracked tomatoes: safe to eat?

A bunch of my tomatoes have spots on them in some places. They look like little brown freckles.
Also, there are a bunch that have "cracks" in them.
Should I just cut around the cracks and spots?
Is the rest of the tomato fine to eat?
