Sweet-tasting toms

A bit anomalous this season (thus far) is the apparent and pronounced sweetness of the first ripes I ate. Not just from a single plant or the same cult. Rather, ALL of them. Has been unusually cool and wet here, but that is the only difference twixt previous seasons that I can recall. Now this perceived sweetness could be a result of higher sugar concentrations or higher pH's of toms or some combination of the two. And, obviously, this character may not continue the entire season.
Curious if any other growers have experienced this thing in current or previous seasons.

We grew some Golden Jubilees in a makeshift greenhouse with a little electric heater in January or February a few years ago. They were very sweet. I haven't every grown them since, so I don't know if it is their normal sweetness or not. I wish I had one now!

I'm surprised that cool and wet gave you sweeter tomatoes. I've always thought those were the opposite conditions for sweetness. Well, live and learn!

I am not a taste expert but SWEETNESS,( beside being a relative and somewhat subjective matter ) is msotly attributed to small fruited and yellow tomatoes. OR that is what I have heard.

ALSO, sweetness is due to ripeness ant that can happen more with hot and dry conditions than the opposite. I think, somehow sunshine make a remarkable contribution to sweetness. And, of course, genetic characteristic is another factor, perhaps that OP is looking for.
