I just switched my pop-up blocker on IE to HIGH. Will see if this helps. I see very few pop-ups and the MEDIUM setting works well most of the time, but the Lancome one was getting through big time.

I use adblock plus on firefox and get no ads at all.

robeb's suggestion is ideal if you use or are willing to use Firefox. In fact, I do.

But surprisingly(at least to me) I.E.'s new "Tracking Protection" feature allows subscribing to some of the same " block lists" that are available to AdBlockPlus users. {{gwi:1321576}}(Click to view full-sized)

BTW, you'd want to subscribe to either Easylist or Fanboy, one or the other, not both. Too many lists may slow you down.

I have a good "pay for" anti-virus anti-spyware program with a Do Not Track feature. My pop-up blocker is set on HIGH, so we'll see what happens. Hasn't happened today "yet." My wife has a fancy new big lap-top, and the same Lancome ad pops-up on her's too. I'll have to check her settings also. Thanks for the feedback.

This forum in particular has some really nasty expanding popups that expand at the worst possible time. VERY aggravating.

I'm not ever buying Lancome products.
