can i dissolve dry fertilzer in water to feed

I bought a lot of foxfarm bonemeal to fertilize my plants and was recently told that it takes a while for it to dissolve into the soil. Can I just dissolve it in water to do a liquid feeding- on the soil?

Oh, had read that organic fert needs bacteria to be absorbed by plants, which is why I'm asking.

I believe slow release ferts need soil borne microbes to break the fert into usable material the plant can use

Hummmm....I'm not sure, but I do it anyway. This year, instead of buying some ProTekt 0-0-3, I took a tablespoon of 0-0-60, and dissolved it in a cup of water.

I use standard veg garden dry 10-10-10. It works fine. Just don't use too much.
