| Sorry if this is the wrong forum for Peppers. However my question is, my son started from seed late March Mr. Fothergill's sweet assorts. Many ar doing good. My question is I have one plant in a container which I think has green and red pepper. The plant is about 3' high and has 30 to 40 peppers on it. However they have stalled at about the size of a golf ball or tennis ball. How can I tell when these are ready to pick? I have grown sweet bell peppers in the past and they have been nearly the size or a softball? Any help would be appreciated. TomK |

| Peppers are edible at any stage. Most start with green color and keep getting bigger. When they reach a certain size, then slowly change color. Most change to red from green. Some change to yellow, orange, then to red. That is considered RIPE> But the point is that they are edible during all that time and in every stage might have a slightly different flavor. |
