 o
Compost and Tea Making Section?

I was surprised to see that there's no compost and/or tea making section on the forum.. I see how it could be tied into organic gardening but I think it's warranted to have its' own section seeing as how much information is involved with compost making, tea brewing etc...

Does anyone agree?

Michael, it is under Soil, Compost...
I have not been active on any other GW forum though. I rather like to stay in one forum and have different topics but it is not how GW set up.

Here is a link that might be useful: compost

And is your "tea making" referring to Compost Tea, or is it referring to herbal teas? I make both lots of compost as well as growing lots and lots of tea herbs (sometimes discussed on the Herbs forum).

Drmbear, thanks for suggestion about herb forum! I will have to take a look as I am yet to venture into herbal teas for plants. I am quite familiar with medicinal herbs otherwise.

Plant Disease > Seedlings: Damping off Disease > Several methods to stop your seedlings from rotting and falling over such as: chamomile tea, horsetail or seaweed sprays.

I drink my herbal teas, but both comfrey and stinging nettles make really great additions to the compost pile or used to make significant nutrient additions to the garden, whether through long steeping (like tea) or added directly.
