Determinates just got a second wind and keep going

I don't get it. The plants stalled after the first flush or fruit. I add more fertilizer and boom, they're off again.

The plants have grown and set fruit like crazy in the last few weeks. Is this normal or did i just starve them in the first part of the season?

Possibly a bit of both. Many determinate varieties, weather and provided growing conditions permitting, will produce a small second crop. The quality and amount of that late crop varies greatly and in many zones there isn't enough time for them to ripen. So many prefer to replace the plants with fresh ones after the first crop. But if you have the room to let them go and can keep them alive and healthy that small late crop is better than nothing.

I follow you Dave. I'll be hard pressed to get much at this point with them just flowering now an setting small fruit...but you never know when that first frost will hit.

thanks
