Snow is coming, but temp is above freezing...

Hi, I am a new gardener. I still have some tomatoes on the plants. A rain/snow whether is predicted but the temp is above freezing point (34F). Does this qualify as the "first frost"? Is it going to kill all tomatoes and peppers? Thank you for providing information.

If the temp has been consistently below 50 for a while, and especially if it is 34, they are done for anyway. Frost or no.

They will not grow nor ripen.
