Hello all. This is my first time trying to grow tomatoes and as they are coming in I notice the tops of some of them, where the stem attaches, is brown and damaged looking. I included a picture. Is this normal for homegrown tomatoes or is there something damaging the fruit? Thanks!

Something chewed on it. But because the tissue sealed over, the fruit will be fine. Just trim out the brown before you eat it. Have fun in your garden!

As long as the fruits do not rot, that is not a big problem. You can shave that part away when you pick the ripe fruit.
