| Hi Everyone, After having login problems I'm back. This year my toms turned orange. They never turned red! I bought 3 Bonnie plant tomato plants from Kmart. I planted probably the third week of June. I realize it was late. Though I've planted late before. I though maybe they were orange variety. I cut into one it was sour. I've never had this happen. A chinese woman at work said you have to check the maturation date. Wouldn't you think orange ones would turn red. |

| You planted them very late and so your tomatoes are late. Sometimes the heat in summer affects the color. It would be good to change your garden web page to show your zone and state. Have you had a frost yet? If your tomato plant is still growing pick the fruit when you see a little pink or orange and ripen them in the house. Since I don't know where you live I have to guess. It was cold here at night mid Oct. so I picked my biggest green tomatoes and they are ripening in my basement. These tomatoes are tasting better then the ones that had been ripening outside because of the rain and cold. |
