end of season volunteers

Hello tomato experts,
I pulled up my yellow pear tomato plant back in August, it dried up completly when i went on vacation and the scoundrel i trusted to water them didn't. I noticed that i have some volunteers growing already, i guess from the fallen fruits. They look like good healthy plants. I dug them up a week or so ago and planted them in styrofoam cups because we were supposed to get below freezing that night. I hate to just toss them out when they look so healthy. I dont have a greenhouse or even a window thats sunny enough to grow them to maturity. Can i keep them alive in the smaller vessels until its time to plant next year?
