| Hello fellow tomato growers, Would like to know if any of you sun dry your own tomatoes, and grow a certain type for this purpose? Which you prefer? I've never done this, but would like to either this season or next. And if you have, any yummy recipes you'd share for you use of them? TY |

| Actually sun-dry? No, not in my zone. Takes too long and bacteria and molds can develop. Plus bugs can be a problem. I use a dehydrator to do mine and many of the discussions about this over on the Harvest forum indicate that most do. Check that forum for tips on how-to and recipes. Plus I linked one of the brokenbar discussions from that forum for you below. Dave |

| I think most of the so-called "sundried" tomatoes are actually partially sun dried and then preserved. If you truely dry any tomato very little will be left of it. Fully sun dried tomato will be like crunchy potato chips. JUST MY UNDERSTANDING. |
