heat tolerate paste varieties

Hello gardenweb,

I have been searching for a paste tomato for hot climates. I haven't had luck with romas. This season I am going to test out Amish paste, Chico III, and san marazano. I use chicken manure with wood ashes and a teaspoon of Epsom salt when planting along with my compost. Then I alternate liquid seaweed and John droomgles liquid fertilizer throughout the growing season. usually in two to three week intervals. if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear it. or if any one knows of any varieties that will be candidates for sauces or canning.
Thanks and happy new year to everyone

Joseph

Opalka was the best producer out of all my tomatoes in 2013; I just wasn't blown away by the flavor. Wasn't bad, just wasn't outstanding.

This year I'm gonna try San Marzano Redorta--it's supposed to be a lot bigger than the regular one. I don't know how it'll do in our SC heat, though.

Here is a link that might be useful: San Marzano Redorta
