just looking for an overview of preventative anti fungals and bug repelents y'all might use. I prefer organic. I was thinking of using lady bugs, lacewings, and mantises in the garden. anyother suggestions?

RE: help a rookie

I make a recommendation for BT (I bought concentrate and a cheap spray bottle to mix it in last year...but I only had a few plants so by hand was fine for me.). You will certainly at some point have caterpillars. Tomato/tobacco hornworms can strip a plant, and they can be hard to see...and there can be a lot of them. Once you see some, you can spray the plant, and the little suckers take a bite of treated leaves a die a few days later (it's not instantaneous). Can you tell I had a serious problem last summer? (I fully admit to offering a few to the local blue jay.....)

Anti fungals...someone else might have a recommendation for that. There are a lot of arguments involving what's effective, and I'd like to see what is recommended to your myself, as I eventually lost my plants to late blight.
