Hi all,

I have an odd intrusion into one of my tomato beds: a perniciously re-occuring flock of toadstools. Are these likely to cause a problem? I've never had this before and don't quite know how to respond. I've been snatching them up and throwing them away and have tried 4 times now to move mulch aside, dig down, remove soil to 14" where they're cropping up -- all to no avail. They come back in herds of 15-20 in the same places every time, popping up literally overnight. They're covering about 40 percent of the available dirt space in the bed.

Are they likely to be a problem? (I don't have kids or dogs, do have cats who dig in the area occasionally).

Any advice? Thanks in advance!
