You think so? Last year that happened and the yellowing intensified until it was like a blight. All but one variety are displaying this yellowing. Big Beef indeterminate. Trying to catch things early.

I think it is a reasonable concern. Pale fresh growth and newly planted...
Paying attention and catching something early that may be easily resolved.
Could be iron deficient. Overwatering...?

Does nj stand for NewJersey? We've had some odd weather. Hot days, cool nights. Overcast for a few days and no rain. Rain predicted all day today, but no rain. Humid and zero wind.
I potted some 'hobo' extras and getting similar looking pale centers. I've not watered at all but they are damp...

I realize you are well planted in soil. I think they will bounce back next week but if it gets worse, hold off on any water and maybe foliar feed.
If they keep turning pale, more than now, i might look into iron deficient.
-just a thought and i am far from many others in knowledge...but just noticing similar on a few of mine...

Thanks and you know, they are wet. It's been crazy weather, too, you're right! Yes it's New Jersey and one day last week it was 93 and two days later it was 55 so I think I will give them some time. Thanks for the tips.
