Yellowing new growth at leaf bases?

Any ideas? It's on about 6 plants that are adjacent to each other and mostly on the newer growth, but seems to be at the bases of some of the older leaves as well. Showed up about 4 days ago and is getting worse by the day.

I did have an aphid problem about 2 weeks ago that is solved now. Wondering if they could have infected the plants with something? 5 of the plants are Bella Rosa and one is Green Zebra and I started all from seeds at home. Plants are in Birmingham, AL.

Has Roundup been used anywhere in the vicinity?

Yes Roundup has been used...did not even consider that as a possible problem...I probably sprayed it about 2 weeks ago but didn't think I got anywhere near the plants...wow, now that you mention it I wonder if that's what is the problem since I can't find any fungal/viral/bacterial diseases that look like what I have...wonder if some of the varieties are more sensitive than others to Roundup...thanks for the input!

Roundup during the growing season damages the newest tissues. With leaves, that means at the base of each new leaf.

Such damage takes a while to reveal itself and for the gardener to recognize that something is wrong.

Consider it a live-and-learn sort of thing.
