What Happened To Daconil?

I have used Daconil very successfully for several years to control early bight (thanks to Dr. Carolyn's suggestion). The last time I bought it it was marketed as Ortho Disease Control. This year when I tried to buy more, I could not find it. Ortho has a product called something like "Max Disease Control", but it doesn't say Daconil. Is it the same product with a different name? Will it control early blight effectively? Where can I find Daconil now? Any advise will be appreciated.

| Daconil is a trade name owned by Ortho. The chemical, chloro********, which is Daconil is out of patent protection. Ortho Max Disease Control contains this chemical so you are getting the same thing. |

I bought 16oz concentrate of Ortho Garden Disease Control from Amazon, it contains 29.6 percent Chlorothalonil. It came up when I searched for Daconil. I saw lots of Daconil bottles at my local nursery this Friday (in Richmond ,VA), at Lowes , and yes, Amazon has it too. |
