worms on tomato leaves

Hi,

Some tiny, green inchworms have been eating up the leaves on my tomato plants. The worms are generally small, but I did see one that was almost 3" long. They inch up their bodies which is why I guess they are inchworms. There are also little white dots on the leaves which I think must be eggs? How do I kill these little buggers?

Cabbage loopers... if they arch their backs when moving. And move they do, rather adroitly.

Snip off the leaves that have eggs, if you're astute enough to find them. Put 'em in the trash. Flick the larvae on the ground and crush 'em; if not they'll home in on your plant and climb back up to resume their munching ways.

Try a permethrin insecticide if they're in overwhelming numbers.
