disease foliage, or environmental damage

I hate to ask, but the tomato problem solver doesn't seem to have a pic of what I have. I think (hope) that this is environmental, i.e. sun/wind/water, but I thought that I'd have the experts take a look. These have been in the ground, some for 3 weeks, the others for a couple of days. The damage looks a little like what happened when I was hardening off some plants too quickly, and they looked like they got sun-burned/scalded.

Anyway, here's the deal.

Also, is it normal for lower leaves to yellow and fall off, with the higher leaves from the growing point quite healthy.

Thanks in advance for all of the help, I'll post as many pics as they let me.
