Foliage Disease on OH

Here's a picture of a foliage disease on my Orange Heirloom plant.
The plant seems to have stopped growing and I'm wondering whether it's time to pull it.

Here's a closeup of the top of the plant.

Thanx for any ideas!

Lee,

I'd consider pulling that one ASAP, but lets chat a bit first.

It looks like it might be a double infection since those diseases I know of that cause bending down of the stems like that don't also have dark spot lesions on the foliage.

Is this the only plant with such symptoms of all that you're growing?

Could you describe the spots in more detail?

Carolyn

This is the only plant that has these symptoms.
Variegated, Red Barn, and Bisgnano #2 are all adjacent to this plant in the same bed with no signs of any disease.

The black spots/lesions are mainly on the top/new growth.
One of the mature branches to the left is mostly unblemished, but I noticed it was starting to show the spots/lesions on the foliage closest to the main stem.

Thanx for your help,

Lee

Another issue is that I have now seen that this plant has set fruit.
I really want to see the fruit on this one ripen.
My goal is to verify that last year's harvest is uncrossed seed for distribution next year.
And this plant was from that seed.....

Oh what to do, what to do....

Oh what to do, what to do....

As long as it's the only plant with these symptoms it might be useful to conclude that whatever the problem is it was seedborne and only this plant is affected and that it isn't transmissible.

Remember Lee, I said useful, so don't yell at me if osmething dire happens, LOL, but I don't think it will.

Seedborne eh?

Well that might put a big damper on being able to offer this at SSE next year..... Grrrr.

I'll have to recheck my stock to see if I have enough or I may have to LQ it....

Oh well, there's always next year.....
