Yellowing spotted leaves

I have grown tomatoes for the past 7 years, and up until last year when we moved never had a problem with early yellowing spotted dying leaves. I am not sure if it is blight but last year I lost my entire crop of tomatoes. Yellowing and spotted leaves are again turning up on many of my tomato plants.
Now, I know the previous year when we moved into to our house the previous owners were putting ash from their fire pit into the garden.
Could this be a nutrient deficiency or blight? And in either case any ideas of some organic ways of getting rid of this problem?
