Disease has struck very quickly...

I am sure this will be an easy ID, but any idea what this is? Really seemed to happen overnight...

Should I start the daconil spraying, I assume?

Thanks for the help!

Where is it growing? Pot or ground?

What are you using for fertilizer?

How often applied? And the rate?

RE: Disease has struck very quickly...

Hi Jean,

Growing in the ground.

We actually put 5-10-5 around the plant a week ago. This is what we usually do and have never noticed a condition like this, but we've had a lot of rain this week. Perhaps some of the grains of fertilizer drifted too close to the roots and burned up the plant?

We apply this two times a season. I'd say 1/2 cup a plant or so, give or take. Always around the whole plant, at least a few inches away.

Thanks for the help! No additional damage yet, so it seems, so I believe you may be right in that it was a fertilizer issue!
