Yellow stuff on stem

Today, I went out to check my tomatoes (about 40, all different varieties) and one had some yellow stuff on the stem. The picture below shows it on a sucker that was pulled off, but there was also some on the main stem. It came off pretty thick when rubbed. Any ideas what it might be?
