leaves drooping and curling.

I am new to container gardening. I have 4 tomato plants all different varities. They grew very quickly but notice new growth curling inward. I did not notice and insects. The leaves had very small white dots. I sprayed with a weak solution of safer. I then noticed one aphid no more than that. Leaves continued to show this curling. I fertilized with Miracle grow. Now the enitre plant looks droopy. Then plant is not dry. It is very hot here in Ny 94 degrees.

Any ideas ? Is there hope?

Sounds like what I have. I think it might be curly top disease, caused by a beet leaf hopper (some bug). It won't spread to other tomatoes. I was wondering if we should pull the plant out, and use the space for a something useful or leave it and see what happens. Will be get any fruit? Mine is a Kentucky Beefsteak and its the only one I have of that variety, and never had one before. Hate to loose it. I took a picture and will load it if i can.

How are the plants doing now that it's cooled off.

Many varieties have leaves that curl and also if root and foliage mass are out of balance that can cause leaf roll as well.

In nYS you don't have the Curly Top mentioned below.

What varieties have been showing the symptoms and are they still showing them?
