Can Rose leaves with Black Spot infect Tomatoes

I have 2 Potted tomato plants right next to a large old Rose bush. I went out today while there is a break in all this rain and blah that my area of New England hs been experiencing, and I noticed that my rose has Black Spot again this year, and that a bunch of the rose leaves have fallen into my tomato pots. Can the Black spot infected rose leaves infect my tomatoes??
