| A week ago I planted a roma tomato plant and I am noticing lots of little bumps on the stem and the leaves have a problem. It has light brown spots and the edges are turning brown--and disappearing, like it is dried out. I thought it was just a placement issue (too much sun, not enough sun) but someone said it could be bacterial canker or some other disease. But from what I have read the bumps could be root buds--but I don't know what is wrong with the leaves. |

| Bumps on stem likely root initials. Can you post an i mage for uses to verify? The leaves show environmental stress -- choose any of the following, alone or combos -- heat; mechanical rubbing; wind; low humidity; water shortage, even though brief. |
