You certainly have some insects eating the leaves.

As to the other problems, when I enlarge the photos they get blurry, so it's hard to tell what disease the plants may have. I know that some folks in CA have been having problems with late blight; however, I hate to jump to that conclusion without better photos of the leaves and stems and maybe some of the fruits.
