Please help me identify the problem with these tomatoes

Hi,

I'd appreciate anyone's input on the problem with the tomatoes in the attached photo.

What might be the problem and what might be the solution. The leaves are turning purple between the veins. The problem seems to be starting on the top of the leaf. So far it doesn't seem to affect the fruit significantly.

Although in one photo a particular fruit that does seem to develop problems.

More images of the problem can be seen here:

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Lasse

Stress from low water, perhaps from dry soil, windy conditions, low humidity and/or a heat wave.

purple is usually a sign of a phosphorus deficiency.

I will say that the are in awfully small containers and be carfull not to over water and watch drainage in that style of pot. Water like to sit in the bottom of them.

Purpling indicates things other than phosphorus deficiency.

In this instance, the accompanying dried (tan-colored ) cells indicates a water shortage in the top of the plant.

As suggested earlier, that can have multiple origins.
