Large tan cavitated spots

I have a few plants where a few of the green tomatoes have these spots on them. I can't find anything that looks like this on the internet - closest I see is sun scald but I find that hard to believe with our weather here (and a couple of these are on the underside of the fruit). Is this a pest or disease or actually sun scald?

Hi I have the same problem, one plant has them, the other has not. My research (from the net) I came upon a "calcium deficiency", the simple solution would be to put crushed eggshell into the soil. I will do this next time and post my results. Regards Dieter

Not sun scald, and not calcium deficiency.

Instead, something chewed on it but the damage sealed over on its own rather than rotting.
