What is doing this to my tomatoes

Ok I have been growing for about 3 years. I have dealt with various pest over the years. This year did a battle with horn worms and had to dust to get rid of them. Shortly after that this started happening. Looks like a bite out of the tomatoes to me but not sure. Have not seen any animals or birds near the plants during the day. My plants are currently 7 to 8 1/2 feet in height. The bites or holes in the tomatoes started on the lower ones but the last one was about 3 feet up. I am clueless on how to stop this mater bandit it now seems to be getting more tomatoes than I am. If it was eating the whole thing at least I know they were doing some good lol.

The angular cuts at the edge of the hole suggest birds.
