Early in the year I burned some broccoli plants that I had set out with a 12-12-12 fertilizer. I lost eight of sixteen plants. The plants that survived grew like crazy and produced six to eight inch heads and many side shoots. My opinion is just to ride it out, the damage is done and I don't think there is any turning back. I use a foliar feeding fertilizer on my tomatoes. I am trying to build up my soil with organic matter, but my soil is mostly sand and doesn't hold much nutrition. Never tried the organic stuff, are you sure that is the problem?
