Safe to eat my own tomatoes?

| I'm a first time gardener growing cherry and grape tomatoes in containers. Both plants seem to have contracted some sort of disease (I assume they're suffering from the same thing, though the poor grape plant has it worse). However, I haven't been able to definitively diagnose it. The leaves are slowly yellow and brown, but they're not falling off. The fruit and stems don't seem to be affected, and the plants are still growing well and setting new fruit at a remarkable pace (though the fruit seems slow to ripen). I've attempted to intervene by pruning diseased leaves and treating with a natural anti-fungal/anti-bacterial, but to no avail (I think the anti-fungal/anti-bacterial actually made them worse). The best approach seems to be to just leave the plants alone to do their thing.
Now, my question: Is it safe to eat the fruit from my seemingly diseased tomato plants? Should I cook it first? Any input would be much appreciated. |

| Just by your description there's nothing that would scare me away from eating them. Not even sure if it's a disease. Sound like it could be overwatering or even overfertilizing? |

| Are there little white things on the underside of the leaves? Could it be Aphids? I've had the same problem and sprayed them with castile soap and water. |
