Mixing Daconil and Systemic Insect Killer?

Hello, sorry if this has been discussed already but I could not find a definitive answer in past threads. Is it safe to mix Daconil and Ortho Systemic Insect Killer in one container to "kill two birds with one stone"? I have seen an Ortho product that is a fungicide and insecticide already premixed, but it says it's not intended for use on edible plants. Will I just be creating the same thing by mixing Daconil with the Systemic Insect Killer?

I'd be wary of using anything that says "systemic" - there was a post from someone on the main board who used some kind of systemic insect killer, and after reading the fine print, it turned out it rendered all his veggie plants inedible. I tried to look up the Ortho stuff you mentioned above online, but couldn't find info on veggies, so if you have the stuff already, I'd say, read the fine print. If you're at all uncertain, DO NOT use it. Call the company if you have to. Otherwise you risk losing all your plants.

Oh, and aside from that, I've heard that you shouldn't mix Daconil with other things because it affects its effectiveness.

I was reading on the daconil bottle and it said you could mix with the systemic insect killer for ORNAMENTALS. So it doesn't sound like you want to spray your veggies with this insect killer at all if you plan on eating them.

That's wierd because the bottle of Systemic Insect Killer says it can be used for vegetables, specifically tomatoes. I've used it for several years, I just make sure I wait a day or two to harvest and, of course, wash everything thouroughly.

Daconil works by coating the attachment sites for fungal spores. If you dilute the product with anything else you're lowering the effective concentration of molecules needed to do the job.

So sprau separately.

I called Ortho years ago about this and they suggest you do NOT spray two things at the same time for the reason I gave although they didn't state it as I have.
