Purple curling stems and leaves

Hi all,

I am having some trouble with a couple of tomato plants. I have these two plants growing in containers and they seem to be suffering from the same problems. Purple/Red stems, twisting stems and curling leaves. They were looking fine until about a week ago when all this began.

The temperature has been 25 -30*C during the day and 15-20*C at night. I have been watering them daily and feeding them vermicompost weekly. I have other tomato plants which have received the same treatment without trouble. Any input would be appreciated. I have included a few pictures of what I am talking about.

The twisting & distortion suggests damage from herbicide. Likely inadvertent.

I have the same purple & twisting. What can we do to save them.. or will they grow out of it? I see blossoms purple too..what will happen to them?

I live in a community that provides lawn care. I did see "the guy" with the spray out some time just before I planted the tomatoes. They are all in pots and planted in MG potting mix. I have not used any chemicals.
Is there anything else that can cause the purple issue?
Could herbicide used before planting cause this?
I don't want to have to have a confrontation with the management...
