Distorted tomatoe leaves

I'm having problems with my tomato plants. I have them in pots and about 9 of 15 started to present fern like leaves and the new branches are thinner than normal. Some of the leaves are completely distorted as you can see in the pictures I uploaded. Does anyone knows what's going on with them?

Perhaps herbicide (weed killer damage) -- 2,4-D; or dicamba; or contaminated compost or manures.

For the latter see http://www.puyallup.wsu.edu/soilmgmt/Clopyralid.htm

Here is a link that might be useful: contaminated OM

Jean thanks for the advise I do believe it might be that since they look as if they are coming back.
