Euthanized Aunt Ruby

I have (had) 9 types of tomato this year, all started from seed. Eight are looking great, terrific crop pending (Super Sweet 100, Legend, Sophya, Big Beef, Bloody Butcher, Celebrity, Rainbow, Italian Goliath.)

The ninth, Aunt Ruby's German Green, started showing wilt on some stems last week, got worse this week, and was clearly on the way out. I put it down today, bagged and garbaged it. Cross section of stem showed brown areas.

I read in seed catalogs that this type is supposed to have good disease resistance. Is this just malarkey to sell seeds? Anyone have any experience with Aunt Ruby?
