 o
differences in disease resistance

This year I planted 3 varieties: la Roma, Mr Stripey, and Cherokee Purple. I have a problem with either early blight or spotted wilt on Mr. Stripey (yellowing leaves and brown spots) also on the la Roma, but not nearly as bad as Mr Stripey. The Cherokee Purple is not effected!?!

I am confused!I figured that the la Roma being a modern hybrid would be the most disease resistant. Is there that much difference in disease resistance between Cherokee Purple and Mr Stripey?
