Mancozeb question

I purchased some mancozeb today, mixed it per instructions (4 gallons of water), and watered my tomato plants with it, hoping to fight some fungus that showed up recently. I just discovered that I should have mixed a much smaller amount and SPRAYED it on the leaves, rather than watering it directly into the soil. I can mix up a new batch and apply properly to the leaves tomorrow, but my question: in light of the chemical that I've saturated the soil (e.g. roots) with, will the fruits be safe to eat when they begin to start ripening in about a week? Thanks for any help that you can give me. Dan
