Just exactly what is neem oil and what does it do? I'm new to gardening and need help with tomatoes.

It is an organic fungicide, insecticide and miticide. For a complete description "Google" neem oil and you will find lots of information.
I'm using it for spider mites. |

Here are some brand names to google: Neem-Away, Shield All, Safer Bio-Neem, Green Light Rose Defense, Green Light Tomato & Vegetable Spray. Shield All is from www.gardensalive.com. The Safer Bio-Neem may be easily available at garden centers.

I bought some yesterday to alternate every 7 days with kelthane for two spotted mites that are tearing me up..
THe guy said it blocks the breathing pores on the mites. I guess they use cell membranes to breath through and the neem oil blocks this. |
