Tomato disease w/pics

This happens every year to all types that I plant, Champion, cherries etc. It starts at the bottom of the plant, leaves yellow, turn brown and dry, wilt and fall off. It continues up the plant and finally the fruit is affected. We get a small yield off the affected plant before the later fruit turns from the disease. There are also small holes in the leaves that don't go all the way through but are transparent. Finally the stems yellow and brown up,dry and wither. Any ideas what it is and what I can do? I have tried copper spray in previous years without much success.

Sound like early blight. Get your self some Fungicide (Ortho makes a good one) and spray your plants down. It will not cure the plant but will stop the spread of the disease. I need to spray mine down usually 2-3 times a season.
