Avoiding this next year?

Hi everyone,

I thank you in advance for advice

I grew 8 varieties of tomato plants from seed under light this year (my first year as a gardener) The seedlings went out mid June- looking very healthy. Quickly boomed to huge growth, great plants, lots of fruit

Watered 2x a week when no rain occurred naturally. (in the morning at the root)

This is what I have now....this started 3 weeks ago & is now rampid. All my plants are dead/dying

What is it? How did I get it in my garden? How do I avoid it next year? I am so sad to see all my hard work so quickly destroyed!

Thanks!

*PS: to clarify, there are shot marks on the leaves, black spots on the vines, & holes inside the vines like they were drilled- still my tomatoes are all clean/healthy, no sign of insects-just dying plants
