Brown soft spots and rotting fruit...

Boredhousewife

Hi all. This is my third year of growing tomatoes in my greenhouse. I'm actually in the UK, and we have had a wet summer. I also think my partner has been over watering. I noticed a white carpet appear on the soil. My plant's roots are white. The stems leaves and fruits are developing big brown patches which is spreading fast. Any leaves not rotting like this are drying and curling up and falling off. I've removed as much as I can but it's likely I will lose the whole lot. My real questions are, what is it? What do I do with the dead plants? And can I plant tomatoes again next year, or will they catch this disease again? Also will it affect peppers or cucumbers?

Your's in ignorance,

Bored housewife....
