Keep tomato plant alive duing winter

I have a nice silver fir tree tomato plant in container that almost done fruiting. I got a good crop of tomatoes from it.
Is it possible to keep this plant alive during winter?
What conditions should it be in if yes?

thanks

Not likely. If you try, treat it like a house plant that requires a lot of light. Watch out for white flies and mites if you bring it inside.

But how to make determine tomato to flower again?
Do i need to trim it before bringing inside?

dazmom, what is q-tip?

I don't think my plant will get a lot of sun in NW winter, even next to french door on west side, but maybe i'll get something in Feb-March.
